Our staff are happy to help with reference enquiries and other questions about our collections. You can also contact us about other aspects of the Library’s operations, including reader registration, accessibility, exhibitions, and tours. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 10 working days, but this will depend on the nature of the enquiry, staff availability, and the volume of enquiries received.

Please note that we do not have the capacity to carry out in-depth research. For this, you would need to consult our collections in person, or you can hire a private researcher. (There is a directory of researchers on the National Archives’ website here.)
