DESCRIPTION:We are excited to welcome you to Lambeth Palace Library and Lambeth Palace Gardens for a very special garden open day\, hosted by the Friends of Lambeth Palace Library who support the Library in the acquisition of rare books and manuscripts and in the conservation of collections for future generations. \n\n\n\nJoin us for food\, refreshments and fantastic activities\, including: \n\n\n\n\nLibrary tours and access to the brand new ‘Women and the Church of England’ exhibition. Entrance to the exhibition is available to all. There is no need to reserve a special Library tour ticket to see the exhibition.\n\n\n\nPalace Garden tours \n\n\n\nCrafts\n\n\n\nA chance to see rare material purchased by the Friends\n\n\n\n\nEntry is £5 and tickets can be bought via Eventbrite or on entry to the Garden and the Library. Any donations collected will be given to the Friends of Lambeth Palace Library.  \n\n\n\nThe timed slots are for the Library tours only\, entry to the Garden is available from 12:00. \n\n\n\nThe last entry time is at 14:30.

DESCRIPTION:Project Updates on Early Modern Religious History \n\n\n\n\n\nWe are delighted to host a joint meeting of The Friends of Lambeth Palace Library and the Religious History of Britain seminar. \n\n\n\nThere will be a trio of speakers giving brief reports on projects currently in progress: Edward Simonds and Kristyna Spencer (Lambeth) on investigating the Sion College Library; Andrew Thrush (History of Parliament Trust) on recent research on bishops in the Elizabethan House of Lords; and Stephen Taylor (University of Durham) on the future of the Clergy of the Church of England database. \n\n\n\nAll are welcome\, but those wishing to attend should book a free ticket via Eventbrite or email archives@churchofengland.org no later than Monday 24 June. \n\n\n\nPlease note that tickets must be booked individually for security purposes.
