Come and see some areas not usually open to the public\, such as the eighth floor conference room and terrace (with its spectacular views) and our Conservation Studio. The tour will explain the history of the library and its collection\, as well as our journey to a brand new\, purpose-built home for the books and documents we care for. \n\n\n\nThere will also be an opportunity to view our current exhibition\, featuring a range of materials from our collection.  \n\n\n\nThese tours coincide with Lambeth Palace’s garden open days which support a different charity each month. DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join a free tour of the new Lambeth Palace Library building. These tours have been organised as a contribution to the Lambeth Heritage Festival and give an opportunity to learn about the new building and the history of the library and its collections. There will be a chance to see some areas of the library not usually open to the public\, such as the conservation studio and the eighth-floor conference room/terrace with its spectacular views across London\, as well as an opportunity to view an exhibition of maps and prints related to Lambeth and its environs in past centuries entitled Layers of London. \n\n\n\nTickets can be booked via Eventbrite.
